Mom's 80th. Birthday Party

The party was held in Prince Albert Sask. This is her cake and some of the cupcakes,
The cake was DE-Lish...cake & cupcakes were made by Linda..the oldest girl... all decorating of the cake & cupcakes were done by myself...the 2n. oldest girl.

All of us siblings were able to be there that evening. Let me just say it is hard to get all seven of us there at the same time! But we did it!

Mom's two sister's were able to be there too...as many grandson's & granddaughter's...and Great Grands!

Jack's 4 th. Birthday

We had to make something special for him because that year his Mom brought home AnnaJoy for his "big" gift!!

We mad the cupcake & cake and decorated hem in the "Car's" theme... Jack really liked that, and also helped me with the making of the cakes! Yayyyy Jack!

It was a chcoclate mix, but was it ever a yummy cake! Butter cream icing tinted with blue coloring....served with or without ice cream...

Julia Child's kitchen was donated to The Smithsonian Museum. I think that would be so cool to be able to go and see it for real! Maybe I'll put that on my "Bucket List" of things do do !

She is such an inspiration to any of us who are "wanna Be's" in the kitchen.
I just saw for the 3rd. time tonight the movie Julie/Julia, and every time I've seen it I always see something I missed from the previous times.Well it's late and I must stop for tonight. My first thing I'm going to do tomorrow is make Beef Bourguignon, Julia style!!

Cake for Heather's wedding shower

I made a Heart shaped, white coconut flavored cake, with pudding in the middle layers, iced with butter cream icing. The flowers were made from royal icing with color added to them.

I thought the cupcakes around the cake would make it so there would be enough cake for 30 people. As it turned out I only needed enough for about 20. But I got the affect with the cupcakes.

The cake tower was made by Laura & Les. parents of Lindsey, the gal I did the cupcakes for. When the cupcakes were put on the tower, they were literally "transformed" into these beautiful little pieces of art!....if I say so myself!
